During the spring of 2004, Robin and her daughter, Alison, spent several weeks in Cambodia, establishing a preschool at the American-sponsored Roteang orphanage. Using beautiful Montessori materials donated by Robin, mother and daughter successfully introduced "the Montessori way" to an often astonished and highly receptive audience.
Over the summer of 2005, they returned to provide additional training now that the school had expanded from a single room in the orphanage into its own, separate building. This summer, Alison, a high school English teacher at Greens Farms Academy, returned with student volunteers to provide additional support.
